Saturday December 14, 10:30pm Show Features –
BILLBOARD ‘CHICK WITH GUITAR’
Sultry Rock-Soul goddess Nicola Vazquez has shared the stage with Ricky Martin, Shanice, George Clinton, Dave Matthews, and Living Colour’s Muzz Skillings. Come see why the co-founder of “Chicks With Guitars” has sold over 50,000 CDs, was featured on the MTV Music Awards, the subject of an ABC-TV NY News feature, and made Billboard’s Noteworthy “Underground” Breaking Artists to Watch. (Oh, yeah: Nicola also performed in the Broadway Cast of Les Miserables!)
HILARIOUS HOLLYWOOD COMEDIAN:
Subhah Agarwal is a writer/performer on The Jim Jefferies Show, highlighted in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 — and she is very very sharp and very very funny, navigating sex and love in NYC, straddling Indian and American family craziness. Welcome back, Subhah!
– WATCH her on The Jim Jefferies Show
HIGH-KICKING DANCE TROUPE:
Moulin Rouge-style dazzle, costumery, Tap, Frug, acrobatic “circus” contortion, and Light Show — that’s the acclaimed international Guilty Pleasures Cabaret dance company! See why they’ve wowed crowds at Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Duplex, the Cutting Room and worldwide resorts from Dubai to Belize to China!
Who is Lauren Maul? The NY Times and IndieWire both recommended her live musical “Apologies from Men” (celeb apologies set to music!) and her “Amazon Reviews: The Musical” makes us wheeze. Singer? Comedian? Nightclub genius? Lauren is a show-within-a-show unto herself!
‘GERMAN’ NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS STORIES:
Is he “Germany’s Most Popular Comedian” … or escaped from an “insane asylum”? Continental kitsch and dark humor with Gregory Levine as aristocratic criminal Gregor of Berlin, regaling the Rat audience with the angst and vengeance-laden “Traditional Teutonic tale of Rudolf Rotschnauz”… or Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Gregory/Gregor has appeared in the Capital Fringe, Frigid Festival, Travel Channel, The Duplex, and Guinness Book of World Records. He also hosts the weekly Electric Stage talent showcase at the PIT Comedy Theater.
YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE:
The Rat would not be complete without our Artist-in-Residence: the funny, brilliant, and bizarre Bill Chambers. He brought us Henry Rollins’ Children’s Book Read-a-long, David Lee Roth’s Therapy Session, Vincenzo the Chain-Smoking Monkey, Neil Diamond’s True Crime Confessions. Expect the unexpected from this hilarious performance-art polymath. (Among his accolades: 2019 Gotham Storytelling Festival; Opening the Nov. 2018 Gotham Storytelling Festiva; and slaying at the NY Times Critic’s Pick Sideshow Goshko.)
Stand Up Comic/Storyteller, Canadian Import Jillian Thomas (MTV Live, The Buzz, The Toronto Show, Listen Missy and Much Music’s Love Court). Not to mention the annual East Village Oscar Awards Party, and Canada’s longest-running cannabis-cafe comedy-club show!
Produced by Rob Dub and Gregory Levine
