Saturday Oct 13, 10:30pm Show Features –
CAROL CHANNING, PSYCHOPATH:
“Carol Channing” (played by Brittany Lee McDonald) does karaoke! And threatens her neighbors – delightfully! McDonald has a supporting role in “Mr. Robot,” has performed in the acclaimed “War on Christmas” at the Cherry Lane Theater and is a comic actor in the elite annual NYC 10-month sketch showcase BoogieManja. She has just returned to NYC from a successful show run at the Los Angeles UCB Theater and her show “Branded Content” was renewed in the New York Hell’s Kitchen UCB. Now, the Ten-Foot Rat has her!
WORLD DANCE TROUPE:
Moulin Rouge-style dazzle, costumery, Tap, Frug, acrobatic “circus” contortion, and Light Show — that’s the acclaimed international Guilty Pleasures Cabaret dance company! See why they’ve wowed crowds at Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Duplex, the Cutting Room and worldwide resorts from Dubai to Belize to China!
BLANCHE DUBOIS BURLESQUE:
Is it Art? Is it hot dance? “Tabby Twitch” (aka Jane Cortney) takes Tennessee Williams’ dark anti-heroine… and lets Blanche win, for once!
Cortney is a theater, TV & film actor, playwright and, as her alter ego Tabby, is taking neo-burlesque in new, unexpected, stunning directions.
GORGEOUS (AND FUNNY) MUSIC:
Broadway belter Christine Aziz is a double-threat. She croons show tunes beautifully… then morphs into a variety of familiar voices, neurotically twisted for your amusement: Adele, Amy Winehouse and a spurned Celine Dion that must be heard and seen to be believed!
The Rat would not be complete without our Artist-in-Residence: the funny, brilliant, and strange Bill Chambers. A bloodthirsty Apple tech expo, Vincenzo the Chain-Smoking Monkey, “Neil Diamond’s true crime confessions” — expect the unexpected from this hilarious performance-art polymath. He’s seen in the Frigid Festival, Canuck Cabaret, and the annual cult favorite Lower East Side Anti-Folk Festival.
INSANE COMEDY CHARACTERS:
A dirty puppet show based on The Scarlet Letter, wild slapstick of an Arab-American stunt woman auditioning for Michael Bay action movies, and an awkwardly aroused librarian stripteasing to Great Works of Literature: Leila Ben-Abdallah is a super-talented character comedian with a gift for the absurd. Come see what Leila has up her hilarious sleeve!
‘GERMAN ARISTOCRAT’ … OR CON MAN?
Continental kitsch and dark “German” nightclub humor with Gregory Levine as aristocratic criminal Gregor of Berlin. Suave, sinister, witty and sarcastic, Herr Gregor regales the audience with horrid tales of warped Teutonic childhood, decadence, and of course, show-biz life in Europe and America. Will he survive his Mandatory Halloween Knife-Juggling Act, which failed every time he practiced it?? Gregory/Gregor has been seen in the Capital Fringe, Frigid Festival, Travel Channel, The Duplex, the PIT Comedy Theater and Guinness Book of World Records.
HOSTED by Stand Up Comic/Storyteller, Canadian Import Jillian Thomas (MTV Live, The Buzz, The Toronto Show, Listen Missy and Much Music’s Love Court). Not to mention the annual East Village Oscar Awards Party, and Canada’s longest-running cannabis-cafe comedy-club show!
Produced by Rob Dub and Gregory Levine
